The Foundations program explores the analysis, design, engineering, and construction of underground work and building foundations. The program traverses many topics including soil and rock analysis, subsurface investigations, support of excavation, foundation types, environmental impacts, site monitoring, agency guidelines, and site logistics.
Several formats for learning are utilized, including seminars, case studies, group activities, and on-site walk-throughs to further build upon and reinforce the content discussed off-site.
